Pheasant Hunts

Garland Mountain offers two pheasant tower toss options. Public and Private.

Public Pheasant Tower Tosses Are Held From
October – March.

Invite your clients, friends, and family to join you for an exhilarating and fast-paced pheasant tower shoot at our hunting property! This unique experience places shooters strategically at haybales positioned on the periphery of our broomsedge fields, encircling the base of hill. On top of this hill stands our high-tower. The hunt begins as 16 pheasants are released into the skies, and then, in a clockwise rotation, shooters transition to different haybales. This rotation repeats until every shooter has had the chance to target high-flying pheasants from twelve distinct haybale locations, resulting in a heart-pounding release of 192 birds in total!

Please note that each shoot is limited to 24 participants, with a minimum requirement of 16 individuals. The number of birds released is calculated at a rate of 8 birds per person, ensuring an action-packed adventure for all.

What should I bring?
Our tower sits on top of a hill and provides high-flying action. For this reason, a 12 gauge shotgun is highly recommended. We also highly recommend shot size  #5 or #6 to ensure better results. We have #5 and #6 shot for sale at the lodge and field. Modified to full chokes are recommended.

Blaze orange is NOT recommended for pheasant tower shoots! Earth-tone clothing preferred!
